Spring is Here!
Time to break out the cleaning supplies, empty those pantries, and get ready for fresh produce! It’s everyone’s favorite time of the year once again. Birds are chirping, sun is shining, and it’s gardening season! Whether you garden to save money on buying vegetables from the super market or simply do it for the love of fresh produce, this is the year to join the fun! Note to self, make sure the soil is nice and moist! Sick of your tomato vines from falling over, or building its own wall against your house? It’s an easy problem to fix actually, put a long thin, metal rod (stick) behind each plant, thus letting it grow long and tall around the rod. An easy DIY garden tip i learned growing up each year with gardens all in the backyard. Another great, yet simple tip, knowing which plant and the amount of sunlight, or even water it needs to grow big and strong. All of these simple tips sound so easy, however it’s easy tips like these that stop your every day person from not doing a garden. Wouldn’t you like to know where your cucumbers come from, how they’re grown? Instead of calling your spouse to pick up string beans from the market, just run in the backyard and pick it fresh for dinner. Personally my favorite plant to grow in the spring/summer, fresh basil and parsley! I use it in practically everything and having it at the palms of your hands is even better. Don’t miss out, join the fun in gardening this season! Questions on how to get started or where’s best spot in your yard to even plant these vegetables or fruits? Comment below!
