For dinner we decided to get a little inspiration from the green thumb herself, Ina Garten. We picked fresh flowers from our very own garden & sliced some fresh lemons to start. Chicken breasts were already defrosted, so we couldn’t think of anything less than to make a Lemon Chicken dish. You don’t need anything crazy from the store for this recipe. Everything’s already in your pantry I bet! Let’s get started.

What you’ll need


  • ½ cup flour for dredging
  • Kosher Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground pepper (to taste)
  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts, about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
  • Fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallots
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ cup chicken broth, fresh or canned
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bag frozen peas
  • 1 lb. Barilla farfalle
