Already love Okra? Not a major fan of the sliminess? Never even had or heard of Okra? Well, this recipe is for everyone! Yes that’s right, everyone! By cooking the pods whole, with no liquid and quickly, you avoid the chances of them becoming slimy. Oh and garlic makes everything better duh!


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. okra
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • salt (to taste)
  • black ground pepper (to taste)

  • Add 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger with the garlic
  • Throw in a handful of tiny grape tomatoes with the okra for brightness & juiciness
  • Sprinkle on some freshly chopped mint before serving
  • Use a green onion cut into short lengths and then slivers instead of garlic for a gentler flavor
  • Drizzle on some soy sauce instead of sprinkling salt at the end
